Sr. Structural/FEM Engineer

Vuyk Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is currently looking for a structural / FEM engineer to strengthen the Temporary Steel Design team. As a structural engineer your focus is on preparing and creating FEA models for temporary steel structures for maritime operations, perform FEA calculations related to foundations, beam models, strength, fatigue, buckling and stiffness and to check and adapt the structures and design. You’ll work closely together with the project teams of the Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam office, who provide the first concept, as well as engineers who will detail the models. Although your job is focused on Structural Engineering, it would be a plus if you have some experience with design and 3D/2D software as well. The projects you’re going to work on are client specific offshore operations, where you can think of design for seafastening, grillages and bladeracks.

Responsibilities:

✔ Coordination of structural work in cooperation with the Vuyk Engineering Rotterdam Team

✔ Working on state of the art projects within the maritime industry with a high variety of projects to work on
